Filing Period for Park Board Seat Begins Monday

The filing period for the 2021 Effingham Park District commissioner election begins on Monday, December 14.

Petition packets are ready for pickup by interested Park Board candidates. Packets may be picked up between 8am and 4:30pm Monday through Friday at the Ron Diehl Center at Hendelmeyer Park, 1906 S. 4th St. 

Election packet information must be filed at the Park District office during regular hours between December 14 and December 21.

One position will be filled in the April 6, 2021 election. Ron Mietzner currently holds the position, and is not seeking re-election. The newly-elected commissioner will serve a six-year term. Candidates must be a resident of the Effingham Park District.
