There were 3.8 days suitable for fieldwork in Illinois during the week ending November 29.

Statewide, the average temperature was 41.0 degrees, 3.8 degrees above normal. Precipitation averaged 1.19 inches, 0.28 inches above normal.

Topsoil moisture supply was rated 3% very short, 18% short, 69% adequate, and 8% surplus. Subsoil moisture supply was rated 5% very short, 18% short, 69% adequate, and 8% surplus.

Winter wheat emerged was at 99%, compared to the five-year average of 95%. Winter wheat condition was rated 4% poor, 17% fair, 63% good, and 16% excellent.
