59 New Positive COVID Cases in County Reported Wednesday

The Effingham County Health Department reported 59 new positive cases of coronavirus disease Wednesday.

Here's the breakdown of cases:

Males--five teens, two in their 20s, two in their 30s, three in their 40s, four in their 50s, five in their 60s, three in their 70s, and four in their 80s

Females--one less than 10 years old, three teens, four in their 20s, four in their 30s, two in their 40s, eight in their 50s, two in their 60s, four in their 70s, two in their 80s, and one in her 90s.

Illinois Region 6 test rolling positivity remains at 14% through November 15, while Effingham County rolling positivity jumped to 25.9% for the same period.

Health Department officials encourage everyone to wear a mask, wash up and spread out.

Shelby County reported 20 new positive cases, Fayette County reported 39 confirmed or probable cases, 20 new positive reported in Clay County, and Jasper County reported seven new positive cases.
