The second of four young people charged with a home invasion in Effingham last year has pleaded guilty.

19-year-old Caillou Repp of Effingham pleaded guilty Wednesday to a lesser count of residential burglary in exchange for two years' probation under special conditions. Repp was also fined and must make restitution for damage done in the incident. She must serve 30 hours of public service work and was given credit for 48 days served in jail while awaiting disposition of her case.

Repp and the three other defendants were charged with a home invasion on October 29, 2019 in the 1200 block of North Merchant Street. Just after 3am that day, city police received a report of a disturbance that possibly involved weapons. Officers arrived to find that several subjects had forced their way into an apartment, stole items, threatened residents of the apartment, damaged a vehicle, then left the area.

Another defendant, 20-year-old Austin Phelps of Montrose, pled guilty in May to residential burglary and was placed on two years probation, underwent substance abuse treatment, and made restitution.

The cases of two other defendants, Noah Rebollo and Zion Mace, both of Effingham, are still pending.
