(CHRISTOPHER GLASS)

Another delay in the murder trial of Christopher Glass.

The Mason man is charged with three counts of first degree murder, as well as concealment of homicidal death and a parole violation. The 36-year-old Glass is charged in the death of Kimberly Mattingly of Paris in April. Glass is accused of shooting Mattingly and then assisting in burying her body on property near Beecher City. Aaron Kaiser of Beecher City was earlier convicted of assisting in burying Mattingly's body on his family's property and of lying to authorities about the matter. Kaiser was sentenced in October to 8-1/2 years in prison.

Effingham County Public Defender Scott Schmidt said in court Thursday that he has filed a motion to suppress statements that could be used against Glass. A hearing on the motion is set for 1pm on December 7.

Judge Michael McHaney vacated Glass' previously scheduled trial date of November 23. The trial will be rescheduled once a decision is reached on the suppression motion.

Glass remains in Effingham County Jail under $5 million bond.
