The North Clay school district has gone to all remote learning through the Thanksgiving break.
North Clay Superintendent Travis Wyatt said there are enough students impacted by COVID-19 to make the decision, but also enough teachers and other staff members. Wyatt said, "We had planned for this since the first day of the school year."
The district had a remote planning day scheduled on Tuesday, and Wednesday was a holiday for Veterans Day, so this was an opportune time to make the move.
Wyatt said remote learning packets were available for pickup Thursday afternoon, and remote lunches were being made available. He said the plan is to return to their hybrid learning plan on Monday, November 30.
Clay City school district has also gone to all remote learning as of this week.
