Effingham Student Diagnosed with Bone Cancer

Jacob Briggerman, a senior at Effingham High School, was recently diagnosed with a form of bone cancer and will undergo several weeks of chemotherapy treatment, surgery, and then more chemotherapy. Jacob will receive treatment in St. Louis.

A GoFundMe account has been established to help with the expense of treatment and travel for Jacob and his family. To date, the fundraiser has collected more than $12,000 in just one day.
