The men suspected in a series of arson fires in Cumberland County since 2010 have pleaded not guilty.
21-year-old Levi Barnes of Greenup and 23-year-old Paul McCormick of Toledo each entered their pleas during preliminary hearings Monday afternoon. Each man is charged with a series of counts of residential arson and residential burglary for some 20 fires in the past three years in and around Greenup.
After information was presented including testimony from Illinois State Fire Marshal Arson Investigator Jeff Pride, Judge Millard Everhart found probable cause to hold the men over for trial. They are due back in court April 15 at 10am for a pre-trial conference.
Both men are being held in Cumberland County Detention Center in Toledo under $1 million bond.
