Paige Van Dyke of Louisville competed at the State 4-H Livestock Judging Contest in June and placed high enough to have tried out for the 2020 State Team.

Five individuals are typically selected to represent Illinois at the National 4-H Contest held in Louisville, KY. That contest has been cancelled due to Covid-19 and it was decided to name eight 4-H members to the 2020 team.

Along with Van Dyke, other members include: Ty Drach of Pontiac, Brooke Beyers of Sibley, Emma Freebairn of Ottawa, Sheridan Hank of Aledo, Tanner Mickey of Taylorville, Emma Richardson of Capron, and Skye Schumaker of Heyworth.

This is the last year of 4-H eligibility for most of these individuals, and most of them are judging on the junior college level this year.
