35 New Positive COVID-19 Cases in County Saturday Through Monday

Effingham County Health Department received notice of 35 new positive cases of Coronavirus Disease from Saturday through Monday.

There were six positive cases on Saturday, eight cases on Sunday, and 21 cases on Monday.

On Saturday, there were three males and three females who tested positive, one male in his 40s and two in their 70, and two females in their 20s and one in her 50s. On Sunday, there were five males and three females, one male each in his 30s, 40s, 50, 60s and 70s, and females in their teens, 30s, and 60s. On Monday, there were six males and 15 females, a male less than 10 years old, a male in his teens, two males in their 50s, and males in their 60s and 70s, and three females in their teens, two each in their 20s, 30s and 40s, three in their 50s, two in their 60s, and one in her 80s.

The State IDPH Mobile COVID-19 Testing Unit will return to Effingham this Friday from 9am to 5pm. The unit will be located at the Effingham County Health Department at 901 W. Virginia Avenue in Effingham.

This service is available to anyone seeking testing. No appointment or physician order is required. There is no charge to individuals for the COVID testing. Please present your insurance card if you have one at the time of service; no one will be denied due to having no insurance. There is no fee to you, but billing insurance will help pay for the service, allowing more individuals the same opportunity.
