Windsor school board members decided to hold off on summative teacher evaluations for this school year.

Superintendent Erik VanHoveln said the focus this pandemic year needs to be on educating students. VanHoveln said administrators will still be coaching the teaching staff, but formal evaluations will be waived for this year.

The Board voted to hire Kathleen Agney as dance coach, and approved a maternity leave for elementary school teacher Shelby Beltz.

Windsor board members also approved the fiscal year budget. The measure totals about $400,000 more than last year. VanHoveln said the increase reflects the improvement projects completed over the summer. Those projects included a new roof, air-conditioning in the grade school, and bleacher replacement in one of the gyms.
