Three County Deaths Being Investigated for Possible Ties to COVID-19

The Effingham County Health Department Monday announced that three deaths were under investigation. Two of the deaths were announced on Saturday by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH). Both of these deaths were males; one in his 70s and the second in his 80s. The third death is a female in her 70s.
Effingham County Health Department also received notice of ten new positive cases of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) from Saturday, September 26 through Monday, September 28. There were three cases on Saturday, five cases on Sunday, and two cases on Monday.

The Illinois Department of Public Health also reported COVID-related deaths in Coles County--a female in her 80s; Crawford County--a male in his 70s; in Marion County--a male in his 80s; and Richland County--a female in her 90s.
