Gregory Hill has received a seven-year prison sentence in Fayette County Circuit Court for aggravated domestic battery.
The 51-year-old Hill was found guilty earlier this year by Judge Kevin Parker in a bench trial. Hill injured his wife in August of 2017, causing spinal cord damage that led to paralysis.
Hill had also been charged with attempted murder, but Judge Parker found him not guilty of that offense.
Hill has been in custody since the incident, so that time will be logged against the prison sentence. He will still likely be in prison for close to three years. The seven-year sentence given Hill is the maximum possible for aggravated domestic battery.
