One Injured in Wednesday Morning Crash in Effingham

One of the drivers was injured in a Wednesday morning crash in Effingham.

The crash happened just before 8am at Henrietta and Fayette. Effingham city police report a vehicle driven by 42-year-old Julie Zeigler of Watson pulled into the path of, and was struck by, a vehicle driven by 27-year-old Mark Schmidt of Effingham.

Zeigler was injured and was transported by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

No citations were issued.
