It gets busy along Race Street on the north side of Teutopolis, so village board members Wednesday took action to control the flow of traffic.

Village board members voted to create a no parking zone from 1,350 feet north to 1,350 feet south of the intersection of Race Street and Northern Row.

The Board also accepted proposals for crack sealing on Walnut Street from John to Columbus Streets and along Water Street from the junior high building west to Crystal Club Road.

Also approved was design and inspection work for just over $35,000 in Prairie View Subdivision, and securing Pals Painting to re-paint all four welcome signs leading into the village.

Teutopolis board members also heard a presentation from a representative of Sonne Energy on the benefits of solar energy if installed at the new village hall.
