County Clerk, County Treasurer Offices to be Closed September 9

Effingham County Clerk and Recorder Kerry Hirtzel and Effingham County Treasurer and Collector Paula Miller have announced the closing of their offices on Wednesday, September 9.

The offices will be closed one day only for repair of the flooring in the lobby between the offices on the second floor of the Effingham County Office Building at 101 N. 4th Street.

The offices will re-open on Thursday, September 10.

There will be assistance on the first floor for persons who have need of either of the offices on September 9. Couples who wish to obtain a marriage license the week of September 8 should phone 217-342-6535 for an appointment with the County Clerk's office.

A reminder that all County offices will be closed on Monday, September 7 in recognition of Labor Day.
