Brownstown School Board Holds August Meeting

Brownstown school board members acted on several matters at their August meeting.

The Board approved a Section 125 plan for employees; approved a co-op agreement for high school golf with the Altamont and St. Elmo school districts; approved a Memorandum of Understanding with the Brownstown Education Association regarding changes related to COVID-19; approved Justin Atwood as a junior high boys baseball volunteer coach; approved a donation of three or more Chromebooks; and approved the Fiscal Year 2019 tax levy and extension.

The Board hired Monica Harshman as a Title I aide and hired Sam Plum as junior high boys baseball head coach and Matt Boggs as junior high boys baseball assistant coach.

Board members also scheduled a public hearing on the tentative budget for the new fiscal year for September 21. The budget is on display in the District Office.
