Utility companies from this region are helping in Louisiana in the aftermath of the damage done by Hurricane Laura.
Norris Electric Cooperative, headquartered in Newton, is sending workers and equipment to assist Jefferson Davis Cooperative, which is dealing with a 100% loss in service.
Effingham native Dylan Wolff is employed by Linetec, a company that also is working in Louisiana to help restore service. This is some of the damage Dylan is seeing and working to repair.
