Fayette County Semi Accident Leaves One Injured

Illinois State Police Report that at 1:43pm Friday afternoon a semi driven by Daniel J. Harvey, 43 of West Palm Beach Florida, was traveling north on Illinois Route 185 approaching Fayette County Road 2450E. Harvey was distracted by his GPS and overcorrected after drifting from his lane which caused the load of metal to shift on the trailer forcing the vehicle off the roadway to the right where it overturned.

Anthony C. Hayes, 32 of Memphis Tennessee, was a passenger and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for minor injuries.

All first responders cleared the scene by approximately 8:00 p.m.
