15 New Positive COVID-19 Cases Saturday

The Effingham County Health Department received notice of fifteen new positive cases of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Saturday. All are reported to be doing well in isolation. The Department is investigating whether these individuals have had contact with known COVID positive cases.
Those testing positive include two females in their 20’s, two males in their 20’s, one female in her 30’s, two males in their 30’s, one female in her 40’s, three females in their 50’s, one female in her 60’s, and three males in their 60’s.
The Effingham County Health Department will be hosting an IDPH Mobile COVID Testing Unit on Tuesday, August 18, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Health Department. This drive-thru clinic is open to everyone, at no cost to the individual with no appointment needed. Please bring your insurance card if you have one.
