More Child Care Options a Need in Effingham Area

There are quality child care providers in the Effingham community.

Many, though, are concerned there aren't enough of them. 

That has led to a dialogue involving many of the providers and members of the education community as to how to address the need for more caregivers.

During a phone conversation with Crisis Nursery Executive Director Meghan Rewers Monday morning, Rewers indicated that there was a shortage before the pandemic. Now that it has occurred, she said the need is even greater.

Rewers sees a lack of quality child care as an impediment to the growth of the Effingham community.
