State Releases Infrastructure Grants to Counties, Municipalities and Townships

Governor Pritzker and the Illinois Department of Transportation have awarded the second of six $250 million grants to counties, municipalities and townships in the state.
Effingham County was allocated $307,830.65. The 15 townships in the county received a total of $401,515.43. Altamont, Beecher City, Dieterich, Edgewood, Effingham, Mason, Montrose, Shumway, Teutopolis and Watson will share $210,881.62.
The funds are part of the Rebuild Illinois capital plan.
Clay County was allocated $101,849.74. Townships in the county will receive $386,270.27. Clay City, Flora, Iola, Louisville, Sailor Springs and Xenia will share $85,620.19.
Cumberland County was allocated $71,868.31. Townships in the county will receive $336,322.11. Greenup, Jewett, Neoga and Toledo will share $50,636.20.
Fayette County was allocated $146,318.10. Townships in the county will receive $614,782.58. Bingham, Brownstown, Farina, Ramsey, St. Elmo, St. Peter and Vandalia will share $123,284.30.
Jasper County was allocated $78,172.46. Townships in the county will receive $428,923.14. Hidalgo, Newton, Rose Hill, Ste. Marie, Wheeler, Willow Hill and Yale will share $41,102.09.
Marion County was allocated $239,500.75. Townships in the county will receive $448,249.52. Alma, Central City, Centralia, Iuka, Junction City, Kell, Kinmundy, Odin, Patoka, Salem, Sandoval, Vernon and Walnut Hill will also receive funding.
Shelby County was allocated $158,057.19. Townships in the county will receive $684,118.64. Cowden, Findlay, Herrick, Moweaqua, Oconee, Shelbyville, Sigel, Stewardson, Strasburg, Tower Hill and Windsor will share $129,951.58.
