1,173 COVID-19 Positive Cases Announced Monday, Six Deaths

1,173 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease were announced Monday by the Illinois Department of Public Health. The report adds that there were six confirmed COVID-19 related deaths were announced statewide.
More than 34,000 tests were conducted statewide during the 24-hour period ending at 2pm Monday. The preliminary seven-day statewide positivity for cases is 3%.
There were 965 new positive cases announced Sunday, again with six additional confirmed deaths.
