City Police Report on Vehicle/Pedestrian Accident Friday

Effingham city police Monday released information on an accident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian Friday evening.
The incident happened at 5:41pm at 1011 Ford Avenue.
Police report a vehicle driven by 54-year-old Oscar McDonald of Montrose struck the pedestrian, 26-year-old Nicholas Thompson of Effingham. Thompson was injured and was transported by HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
No citations were issued.
