As of Friday morning, both St. Anthony and Effingham High Schools will hold graduation ceremonies this weekend.

Both ceremonies are slated to be outdoor affairs.

St. Anthony High School will hold its ceremony on the grounds north of the high school at 7:30pm Saturday. There will be a recording of Emilee Mossman's valedictorian speech, as well as salutatorian Katherine Slaughter's speech and an address to the graduates that continues the tradition of having a member of the 50th anniversary graduating class as a speaker. This year, it will be Hank Stephens of the Class of 1970.

The Effingham High School ceremony is set for 5pm Sunday and will take place on Klosterman Field, the high school football field. Due to the high heat expected, the ceremony is expected to be briefer than usual.

If the weather further impacts either ceremony, we will let you know.
