Two-Vehicle Crash in County Injures One Driver

A two-vehicle crash in the county injured one of the drivers.

The crash happened at 9:45am Friday on Moccasin Road at Cardinal Lane near Lake Sara.

Effingham County Sheriff's Department reports a westbound vehicle driven by 57-year-old Carrie Lewis of Iuka was stopped on Moccasin Road, waiting to turn left onto Cardinal Lane when Lewis' vehicle was hit from behind by a vehicle driven by 35-year-old Daphne McCormack of Effingham.

Lewis was injured and was transported to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
