857 COVID-19 Cases Reported Friday in Illinois

The Illinois Department of Public Health Friday announced 857 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease in the state. The report includes 39 additional confirmed deaths, 27 of those in Cook County.

There were no new positive cases reported in any area county Friday.

Laboratories in the 24-hour period ending at 2pm Friday reported 30,245 specimens, with a preliminary seven-day statewide positivity for cases as a percent of total tests at 3%.
