Dieterich village board members are ready for a red-hot 4th of July.

Even if the celebration this year will be smaller this year than usual due to the coronavirus disease, it will still be fun. The fireworks will be complemented by a Honor Guard procession featuring fire trucks and members of the Dieterich American Legion Post.

In regular business, the Dieterich board paid a better than $14,000 bill for water and sewer infrastructure work in the Dieterich Industrial Park East; approved a new fiscal year measure with the year beginning May 1; authorized the sale of a cab high truck bed cap; and approved a final plat for Higgs Welding Subdivision to accommodate an expansion by the business located in the west business park.
