Randy Houser Will Top the Performers at County Fair

Country singing star Randy Houser has been signed as the headline artist at the 2013 Effingham County Fair.

Fair Board President Phil Hartke said the contract has been finalized after several weeks of negotiations.

Houser has had a number of country music hits in recent years including "Anything Goes", "Boots On" and "Whistlin' Dixie" as well as last year's gold record "How Country Feels". 

Chris Kavanaugh has been signed as Houser's opening act.  Kavanaugh has released an EP "As Country As I Want to Be".

Houser and Kavanaugh will perform on Friday night, August 9 at the fairgrounds at Altamont.
