715 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease in Illinois were reported Wednesday by the state's department of public health.

The report includes 63 additional confirmed deaths, 39 of which were in Cook County.

Once again, IDPH is reporting 12 positive cases in Effingham County, but Effingham County officials say the number is still at 11 and the State's report should be corrected tomorrow. None of the area counties had additional positive cases Wednesday.

There were more than 29,000 specimens reported to laboratories in the state, and the preliminary seven-day statewide positivity as a percent of total tests is at 3%.
