601 New COVID-19 Cases Reported Tuesday in Illinois

601 new cases of coronavirus disease were reported Tuesday in Illinois by the state Department of Public Health.

The numbers include 38 additional confirmed deaths, including 19 in Cook County.

There were no additional positive COVID-19 cases reported in area counties Tuesday, and the State now agrees with Effingham County that there've only been 11 positive cases in the county to date.

The preliminary seven-day statewide positivity for cases as a percent of total tests is 2%.
