Mt. Vernon Man Reportedly Involved in Pursuit Injured in Crash Near Kinmundy

A Mt. Vernon man reportedly involved in a pursuit was injured Friday night in a crash near Kinmundy.

Daniel Eagan's pickup truck rolled multiple times after he missed a sharp curve on the Robb Road west of Kinmundy about 8:30pm. The Kinmundy-Alma Fire Department told local media that Eagan was airlifted from the scene and flown to a St. Louis hospital.

Initial information is that Kinmundy police had attempted to make a traffic stop and Eagan fled the scene. Police eventually ended their pursuit, but did follow Eagan and reached the pickup truck crash scene. Eagan was able to get out of the vehicle on his own.
