634 Positive COVID Cases Reported Saturday

The Illinois Department of Public Health Saturday reported 634 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease.
45 additional deaths statewide were reported related to the virus, 28 of those deaths occurred in Cook County.
The state still is reporting 12 positive cases in Effingham, and two in Clay County, even though Effingham County Health Department is reporting 11 cases and Clay County Health Department is reporting three cases.
There were no additional positive cases reported in area counties in the Saturday update.
Just under 26,000 specimens were reported by laboratories in the state for the 24-hour period ending at 2pm Saturday, and the seven-day statewide positivity is still at 3%.
