The former village treasurer of Tower Hill has been sentenced to 21 months in federal prison.

Nancy Finley pleaded guilty to stealing more than $200,000 in village funds over a seven-year period during her time as treasurer. Finley had pleaded guilty in March to three counts of wire fraud. Once out of prison, the 54-year-old Finley will have to make restitution totaling $261,000.

Finley faces separate Shelby County charges for the offenses, but those charges might be dropped since she has been convicted on the federal counts.
