Charleston Man Fatally Injured in Motorcycle Crash

A Charleston man was fatally injured as the result of a motorcycle crash Monday afternoon.

Coles County Sheriff's Department reported that 43-year-old Joseph Stewart was traveling on a Coles County road near Lerna just after 2pm when a deer ran into his path. In the collision, Stewart was ejected from the cycle. He was airlifted to Carle Hospital in Urbana, where he later died of his injuries.
