673 COVID-19 Cases Saturday in Illinois

673 positive cases of COVID-19 were reported in Illinois Saturday, bringing the stretch of days with less than 1,000 cases to more than a week.

Just 29 confirmed deaths were reported statewide on Saturday, 12 of those in Cook County. There were no COVID-19 deaths in area counties on Saturday, and no new positive cases in area counties.

There were almost 22,000 specimens taken at laboratories during the 24-hour period ending at 2pm Saturday.
