Lowest Daily COVID-19 Case Count Monday Since March 30

The lowest daily COVID-19 case count in more than two months was reported Monday by the Illinois Department of Public Health.

The 658 confirmed cases Monday is the lowest since 461 cases were reported March 30. 23 additional deaths statewide were reported Monday, 17 from Cook County. The others were from DuPage, Lake, St. Clair and Winnebago Counties.

Within the 24 hours ending at 2pm Monday, just over 16,000 specimens were reported by Illinois laboratories. 

The preliminary seven-day statewide positivity for cases was 5%.

There were no additional positive COVID-19 cases reported in area counties.
