A Clay County man has been arrested for allegedly damaging the sheriff's office in Louisville.

Clay County Sheriff Andy Myers said 30-year-old Joshua Tucker of Louisville was taken into custody at 11:50am Wednesday. Sheriff's Office personnel heard a disturbance outside the office. Personnel investigated and observed the front windows had been broken, and other damage was done.

Myers said during previous contacts with Tucker, he had indicated he wanted to be arrested due to his girlfriend being in custody at the jail and due to being homeless. Tucker was later transported to jail, but in a nearby county. The investigation is being handled by the Illinois State Police.
