Motorcycle Crash on Outer Belt Tuesday

One person was injured when his motorcycle was involved in a crash on Outer Belt West, south of Evergreen Avenue, Tuesday afternoon.

Initially, it was thought the cycle rider, whose name is not available, would be airlifted from the scene, but emergency crews decided a land-based ambulance was sufficient.

The crash happened in the 4pm hour. Effingham city police and fire crews were on hand, along with Abbott EMS.
