1,343 New Coronavirus Disease Cases Reported Sunday

The Illinois Department of Public Health Sunday announced 1,343 new cases of coronavirus disease in the state. 60 additional deaths were reported, 39 in Cook County.

There were no deaths reported in any area counties.

As far as area counties and their case count:

Effingham--seven cases, with one death

Coles--127 cases, with 15 deaths

Cumberland--10 cases, with no deaths

Jasper--45 cases, with seven deaths

Fayette--21 cases, with three deaths

Shelby--16 cases, with one death

Clay--two cases, with no deaths

The seven-day statewide positivity rate is 7%.
