Teutopolis village board members took time Tuesday to discuss updates to the village's zoning ordinance.

One matter reviewed was portable buildings. Board members reached a consensus that they don't want businesses operating out of portable buildings.

Another item addressed was that they don't want someone using an alleyway as an entrance to their business.

A third matter was the number of solar panels popping up throughout the village and how they should best be regulated. Village President Greg Hess said he would check with other communities as far as how they regulate the panels.

There were no votes Tuesday, only discussion; any final decisions will come at a future village board meeting.
