Brownstown board members Monday set fees for the coming school year.

Registration fees will be $95 for elementary students, and  $120 for junior high and high school students, while Driver's Education classes will cost $50.

The Board agreed to seek bids for bread and milk for the coming year; approved participation in child nutrition and free lunch and breakfast programs; Federal grant programs; and the Mid-State Special Education policies and procedures.

The Board hired Katie Richter as a 4th grade teacher for the coming year and approved Chad Towler as a high school girls basketball volunteer assistant coach. Austin Foht and Jonah Poe were hired as summer janitorial help; directed Superintendent Mike Shackelford to start work on a new fiscal year budget; and agreed to hold a hearing on an amended budget for this fiscal year at the June 22 meeting.
