Satellite Dish Scam Reported by Resident

A listener let us know about a scam involving her mother who, thankfully, wasn't taken in.

The listener said her mother got a phone call, allegedly from Dish Network in Arkansas, saying that she needed to upgrade her satellite dish receiver that day. They gave her an address to send them a check by the next day.

The mom contacted her daughter, our listener. The listener was pretty sure it was a scam, so she phoned Dish Network's scam number. They worked with our listener to get her mom's number changed so no further problems should result.
