Thoele Wins Sheriffs' Association Scholarship

(EFFINGHAM COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPUTY ERIC HIGGS MADE THE PRESENTATION OF THE SCHOLARSHIP TO MADELINE THOELE)

Sheriff David J. Mahon has announced that Madeline Thoele, daughter of Randall and Amy Thoele of Teutopolis, is the 2020 Illinois Sheriffs’ Association $500.00 scholarship winner from Effingham County. 

Madeline will graduate this year from Teutopolis High School and plans to further her education at Lake Land Community College, enrolling in the engineering program with a pre-medicine track. 

Nathan Hill, son of Douglas and Lisa Hill of Mason, was selected as first alternate in the scholarship competition.
