Largest Number of Tests Ever, Largest Number of Positive Cases Ever in Illinois Sunday

The Illinois Department of Public Health Sunday announced 2,994 new cases of coronavirus disease in the state.
That's the largest number of positive cases in 24 hours so far in the state, but it's the result of 19,417 tests, also the largest 24-hour total.
63 deaths were reported during the period, one of the lowest numbers in some time for a 24-hour period. 47 of those deaths occurred in Cook County. No other county reported more than five deaths for the period.
Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 61,499 cases, including 2,616 deaths, in 97 counties in Illinois.
