South Central schools are planning a Senior Parade the evening of Friday, May 8 at 6pm.
Students are asked to go with their vehicle decorated to the City Hall in St. Peter to begin the parade. If a student doesn't have their own vehicle, they are permitted to have another family member drive them, per school approval. Students should be there by 5:45pm. No students will be allowed outside their vehicle once they arrive.
The parade will begin by traveling down Illinois Route 185 with a police and fire truck escort into Farina, driving past the high school, and then turning onto Illinois Route 37 and traveling through Kinmundy into Alma.
Communities are being encouraged to line the parade route and support the Class of 2020. You may decorate your yard, make signs, hang banners, keeping in mind proper social distancing.
South Central officials remind that this has been a challenging time to be a senior, and they want to create a special memory for them.
