2,126 Positive COVID-19 Cases Sunday, Just 59 Deaths Reported

The Illinois Department of Public Health Sunday announced 2,126 new cases of COVID-19 virus. Just 59 additional deaths were reported.

45 of the deaths occurred in Cook County. There were five deaths in DuPage County; three deaths each in Jefferson and Lake Counties; two deaths in Will County; and one death in Kane County.

IDPH is reporting a total of 43,903 cases, including 1,933 deaths, in 96 counties in Illinois.
