2,119 New Positive COVID-19 Cases Announced Saturday; 80 Additional Deaths

The Illinois Department of Public Health Saturday announced 2,119 new positive tests for coronavirus disease statewide. 80 additional deaths were announced, 46 in Cook County.

Coles County Friday reported its first death due to COVID-19. That death is included in the Saturday report. That's the only death reported in our area.

Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 41,777 positive tests statewide to date in 96 counties in Illinois. 1,874 deaths have occurred statewide.
