The man charged with arson for a fire at an apartment building in Effingham in November has been ruled fit to stand trial.

26-year-old Joseph Wrischnik of Effingham was arrested after fire totaled an apartment building on South 4th Street behind A-1 Liquors. Wrischnik was later found unfit to stand trial. At a hearing Wednesday, Judge Allan Lolie ruled that Wrischnik's treatment by the Illinois Department of Human Services had restored him to fitness.

Lolie scheduled Wrischnik's trial for June 22, with a final pre-trial on June 11.
