Effingham Catholic Charities Mobile Food Pantry traveled to Stewardson on Tuesday.

A total of 40 households representing 95 individuals were served. Of those individuals, 34 were children.

Due to social distancing, boxes were pre-packed and included bread, milk, ground beef, turkey and sausage along with canned and boxed goods.

While in Stewardson, Phil Boyer, representing the American Legion in Stewardson, presented a Catholic Charities representative with a $200 check to help cover the cost of the food given to families.
